Ozone: EPA's Proposed Changes to 2008 Standard
The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has proposed a lowering of U.S. ground-level ozone standards. Under the new guidelines, the "primary" standard would be reduced to 60-70 parts per billion (ppb) measured over eight hours, down from the 75 ppb level set in March 2008.

Deepwater Horizon
America's thoughts and prayers are with all those affected by the oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. The best minds in industry and government are working to stop the spill, contain the oil and clean up the environment. The accident is unprecedented, and so, too, is the combined response of industry and government.

Climate Change
We all have a role to play in addressing the risk of global climate change, and that includes America's oil and natural gas companies. The industry has invested $175 billion since 1990 toward improving the environmental performance of its products, facilities and operations -- $582 for every man, woman and child in the United States. Global climate policy has to be approached from the proper perspective.

Access to Energy
U.S. demand for energy, in particular oil and natural gas, remains high according to projections formulated by the Energy Information Administration (EIA), and America has the domestic resources to fulfill that demand. A recent ICF International study shows that more access to domestic energy resources could generate between $1.3 trillion and $1.7 trillion in government revenue, create thousands of new jobs and enhance America’s energy security by significantly boosting energy production.....

Taxes Hurt

And, we need to enhance energy technologies, remaining on the cutting edge of advanced technology...

Oil and Gas 101
Oil and natural gas are critical to the economic and energy security of America, because they are an integral part of our daily lives - beyond the fuel that transports our vehicles. Oil and natural gas is the bridge to our clean energy future as we develop additional alternative energy sources and technologies...

Canadian Oil Sands
Our nation needs more supplies of all energy sources, including oil and natural gas, to meet growing energy demand and provide consumers with reliable supplies of fuel. What many Americans don't know is that the U.S. gets more oil from Canada than from any other country. Canadian oil is a reliable and plentiful strategic resource for meeting our nation's growing energy demand and making the United States more energy secure.
