Myth:  The U.S. imports most of its oil from the Middle East.

Truth: Canada is the biggest supplier of imported oil to the United States.  Canada is a friendly neighbor with which the United States has an excellent trading and political relationship, sending more than 99 percent of its oil exports to our nation.  Not only does Canadian oil provide America with much-needed energy, but it also fuels jobs for workers in the oil and natural gas industry, including pipelines and refineries.
